Let’s Chat About … Self-Advocacy and Supporting Your Child's Education

Join us when we Zoom with Beth Borysewicz, Hope in Focus Board Director and Educational Consultant, State of Connecticut Department of Aging and Disability Services with Bureau of Education Services for the Blind.

Beth found her passion working with the blind and visually impaired community when 3-year Sofia joined her preschool classroom. Beth now has more than 16 years of experience working with students across Connecticut. Beth is looking forward to talking about how to leverage the expanded core curriculum for independent living skills, supporting your child’s transition to adulthood, and sharing best practices for self-advocacy in the classroom and beyond.

If you cannot attend the live webinar, you will be able to access the recording from our Let's Chat About... web page here.

About the "Let's Chat About..." Web Series

This webinar is part of our continued Let’s Chat About webinar series. We've developed this free, virtual web series with those living with LCA and IRDs in mind, but we invite all members of our community, including those in research, industry, and the regulatory communities to join any of the sessions, as we look ahead to a common goal of advancing treatments for rare retinal disease. We encourage you to register in advance (it’s always free!), and to let us know what questions you have for our speaker.
